Fort Collins, Colorado
Managed IT services in Fort Collins, for businesses that build things.
Served from our Denver office at 720 S. Colorado Blvd, sixty five miles up I-25. Microsoft 365, engineering data, and managed IT for Northern Colorado's hardware, brewing, and research economy.

IT support Fort Collins
Fort Collins has an unusually technical economy for a city of its size. Colorado State University anchors a large research presence, and around it sit hardware and instrumentation companies with real manufacturing behind them: Woodward, Advanced Energy, semiconductor operations, and a long tail of design firms, test houses, and instrument makers. Otter Products is here, and so is the brewing cluster that made the city famous, which is itself a manufacturing sector with all the process and quality obligations that implies.
What unites them is that the important data is not email. It is CAD assemblies, test results, firmware, calibration records, drawings under revision control, and quality documentation that has to be reproducible years later. That data is large, it versions badly in tools designed for Word files, and it is the reason engineering teams so often end up quietly working off a network share that nobody backs up properly.
So the Fort Collins conversation tends to start in a different place than the Denver one. Less about email hygiene, more about how the technical teams actually store and share their work, and how to build something in Microsoft 365 they will use rather than route around. We cover the city from our Denver office, an hour up I-25, and we are straightforward about that rather than claiming an address on College Avenue.
What we do for Fort Collins clients
Shaped around technical teams and the data they generate.
- 01Microsoft 365 consultingTenant design, SharePoint structure that survives large technical files, governance, and managed services.
- 02AI servicesCopilot adoption and AI governance, including where technical documentation should and should not be exposed.
- 03IT consulting & vCIOVirtual CIO advisory, project delivery, and custom software when the engineering workflow has no product behind it.
What Fort Collins actually calls about
Hardware, instrumentation, manufacturing, and the research spinouts around CSU.

CAD and test data on a share nobody owns
The engineering team keeps its work on a file server or a NAS because SharePoint was configured for the office and behaves badly with large assemblies. That share is often the least protected thing in the business and holds the most valuable data in it. We design a structure that works for the files people actually have, and migrate it without breaking references.

Records you have to reproduce years later
Quality documentation, calibration records, and revision history are not archives, they are obligations. When a customer or a regulator asks what revision shipped in a given quarter, the answer has to be findable. We build retention and structure that makes that a query rather than an excavation.

IP that walks out with a laptop
Design files, firmware, and test data are the company. Offboarding that consists of collecting a laptop and disabling an email account leaves a great deal behind, particularly with contractors and university collaborators in the mix. We put real device management, access governance, and a leaver process in place, and we do it without making the engineers hate us.

A plant and an office with different rules
Manufacturing sites end up with their own network, their own logins, and their own habits, because they grew separately. We get identity, access, and support consistent across both, and we are clear about the boundary between office IT and the production systems that we will not be touching.

Getting started in Fort Collins
Four steps, and for technical businesses the second one is where the value is.
- 1
A conversation, not a pitch
Thirty minutes on what is going wrong and what you have already tried. If we are not the right firm for it, we say so on that call and point you somewhere better.
- 2
A look at the environment
Tenant, licensing, permission model, and where the technical data actually lives, which is rarely where the org chart suggests. Findings in plain language, ranked by risk and cost, yours to keep either way.
- 3
A plan with a number on it
Scope, sequence, timeline, and price. For engineering data migrations we pilot with one team before touching the rest, because the failure modes are expensive.
- 4
Delivery you can watch
Work runs through our CloudGear365 client portal, so status and decisions are visible without chasing anyone for an update.
Coverage
Our nearest office is in Denver, at 720 S. Colorado Blvd, about sixty five miles south on I-25. That is a little over an hour each way and we schedule onsite time deliberately rather than pretending we can drop by: discovery with the engineering team, cutover weekends, and any session where walking the building tells us something a diagram would not.
The day to day, and nearly all the Microsoft 365 work, runs remotely. That is not a compromise for tenant configuration and migration work, and it keeps travel off your invoice. If you want a set number of onsite days each quarter, it goes in the agreement with a number attached.
The same Denver team covers Northern Colorado from the same office: Loveland, Windsor, Timnath, Wellington, and Greeley out east. Businesses here frequently run a design office in one town and production in another, which is a shape we plan for from the start rather than treating the second site as an exception.
No. Our offices are in Chicago and Denver. Fort Collins is served by the Denver team, sixty five miles down I-25, and we would rather say so than publish a College Avenue address we do not occupy. Onsite days are scheduled in advance and written into the agreement.
